Drumming at The Harmony Hub

We enjoy our Drumming at The Harmony Hub and take every opportunity to get together for some Drumming!

We love our Drumming at The Harmony Hub

Liz says:- My first memories of drumming involved tin cans and buckets as a kid. Then I went on to experience the power and energy of group drumming during various protest marches in the 1980s. In some ways those anti-Thatcher and section 28 days seem a long way away from the beautiful healing I associate with drumming today.

Then again, it was all about making the world a better place for everybody even back then! I experienced drumming as a h
ealing modality when I attended sound baths and Shamanic journeying.

However, about 18 months ago an advert for Reiki Drum kept appearing on Facebook and I felt strangely drawn to sign up for a course. I spent a powerful weekend down at Shawbridgeworth learning the Reiki Drum Technique with Sarah Gregg in the company of some amazing people. This was a pretty life changing experience for me that coincided with the opening of The Hub.

During this course with the beautiful Attunement and during another subsequent weekend with Sarah working with sound, I found my voice and with it the confidence to run a Drumming Circle at The Hub. This began with quite a rigid structure but soon evolved as other folks came along and shared their energies and ideas.

We now have three Circles at The Hub-
 - the original Reiki Drum Circle with some awesome group drumming, sharing drum healing and ending with a lovely Reiki Drum Journey.

- Linda leads our Sacred Drumming and Chanting Circle working with Shamanic and North American Indian influences.

- Our new Circle is Drumming and Mantra working with mainly Sanskrit Chants along with some powerful group drumming for intent- and      enjoyment!

Last Autumn I finished the 24 detailed case studies required and completed the Reiki Drum Masters course. I now have the joy of teaching the amazing Reiki Drum Technique to others as well as sharing the wonderful Reiki Drum treatments. My journey with the drum has been, and is, an amazing one. I am so grateful to Sarah Gregg for teaching me, guiding me and encouraging me. I am also so grateful to all the folks who share this amazing journey with me. But most of all I am grateful to Blue- the amazing drum whose spirit has guided me throughout. Xx
